Guilty as charged! This has been my most difficult task thus far, maintaining a balanced life. Sometimes I become so engulfed in work or, so consumed with present day circumstances, that I forget what it’s like to laugh until my stomach hurts. When is the last time you can say you’ve had a night out with your girls or significant other, or read a good book, or bought yourself something, or even just sat in silence and collected your thoughts? When is the last time you can say you smiled so hard that your face hurt? For some, they can’t! Why? Because we often fail to comprehend the necessity of balance in our lives.

Ahhh…our old friend Mr.Stress. Stress comes in many forms. It can be positive, such as having a new baby, but it can also be negative, such caring for a sick relative. In any instance, stress affects multiple components of our lives, including the way we interact with people, the way we approach situations, and in various other ways. It is NOT our job to not stress. Stress is inevitable. IT IS however, our job to find methods that facilitate the channeling of stress, and maintain a healthy balance of work, home, money, health, and relationships. So the next time your friend’s ask if you wanna go for a movie, don’t blow them off. Say HECK yea! Put on your cutest dress, break out that new lipstick, and take on the night for what it is…a whole lot of fun!
